AFA’s CyberFutures Conference Offers Professional Development Training

At this year's CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition, Air Force personnel will be able to earn Continuous Learning Points (CLP), further attesting to the great professional development opportunities offered by our annual conferences.
AFA's CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition is the one-of-a-kind professional development event with a full agenda of speaker sessions and panels addressing today's challenges in the cyber domain.

The 2012 CyberFutures Conference explores the nation’s newest and most challenging area of industry, commerce, government and defense – cyber. This conference gives attendees an opportunity to connect with top leaders from the Air Force, government, industry and academia and benefit from the new conference agenda that offers two days of concurrent sessions.

As the CyberFutures Conference weighs so heavily on cyber issues, continuous learning points will be applicable to personnel in the Information Technology arena but would also apply to varying degrees to the other Air Force acquisition categories, such as Program Management, Contracting, and Systems, Planning, Research, Development and Engineering (SPRDE) fields.

Air Force personnel can earn 0.5 points per hour, maximum of four points per day and 20 points per year.

[Please contact the Air Force Acquisition Training Office, saf.acqnowcl@us.af.mil, COMM (210) 565-5917, for further guidance. However, other Services must contact their acquisitions departments to see if attendance at AFA's CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition fulfills their qualifications.]

The 2012 CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition will be held March 22-23, 2012, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, just across the river from Alexandria and minutes from downtown Washington, DC. This year's conference boasts an impressive expo floor displaying the latest and greatest technology from industry in the Exhibit Hall.

In conjunction with the CyberFutures Conference will also be the national championship round of CyberPatriot, the National High School Cyber Defense Competition. Winners from the competition’s two parallel divisions will be crowned at an awards banquet concluding the Conference.

The full conference agenda can be found on the AFA's website.
